Advance warning to anyone visiting the manor this afternoon, the House Elves have NOT got the hang of fake magic snow, or at least unmeltable snow. I Someone lit the fire in the hall and now there's a slight flood at the bottom of the stairs. I'm going to go fix it now because I am helpful, I'm bored and I fear for my life should I put it in anyone else's hands - yes, I have resorted to Christmas decorations not a week after arrival.

Well this is a thing. First trip to Diagon Alley in months and these are all that's selling. Didn't quite manage to replace all the clothes I wore out abroad. At least the cloak I got for my birthday is still wearable, though believe it or not it was colder there in August than it is here now.

So, that's four months I've been out of the loop. Anyone get married, knocked up, horribly murdered?
